Officer Day Our Kids’ Champion for September
Fayette County Public Schools has selected Jeremy Day, a school resource officer, as the Kids’ Champion for September 2026. Interim Superintendent Bill Bradford surprised him with the award this week, and the school board will salute him at their Sept. 21 action meeting.
Each month during the school year, our district recognizes an outstanding member of Team FCPS who makes a real difference in students’ lives. A Kids’ Champion displays exceptional dedication to students and embodies the key characteristics of innovation, advocacy, empathy, knowledge, and a positive attitude.
Officer Day, who works at Garden Springs and James Lane Allen elementaries, recently raised nearly $10,000 to help families outfit their children for this school year. His Fayette 50: Miles for Smiles campaign was a huge win for our community!
